Nicky studied at one of the UK’s most respected cookery schools ‘Tante Marie’, earning her professional catering diploma before started her catering business Hunger Pangs in 1990. She spent much of her early days catering for events in marquees, stately homes, offices and private homes, before developing Pangdean into the unique wedding venue it is today.
With a passion for creating delicious fine food, Nicky has a no-compromise approach to quality, whether it be sourcing the best ingredients, employing a keen and dedicated staff or personally overseeing many of other elements involved in running a successful company.
Nicky has an outstanding reputation and this reputation spurs her on. Reliant solely on the quality of her work, and with very little advertising, Pangdean has become a busy and popular wedding and function venue, with bookings being made over two years in advance.
Nicky lives in Pangdean’s Old Farmhouse with her partner Peter, who looks after the venue, their two daughters Anna & Ella, together with Marley and Jasper the labradors, and Nelly, Parsley and Prince the naughty ponies.
